Overview

The fifth edition of the Tremblant Forum on Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. The Tremblant Forum has become one of Canada’s most important venues for the exchange of ideas on some of the biggest challenges and opportunities faced by companies, governments, and members of civil society.

This year’s theme, Looking Forward, Giving Back, focuses on the latest issues, drivers and trends in community investment. It will highlight the hard won successes of individuals and organizations committed to building a sustainable global society through strategic philanthropy and social entrepreneurship.

The growing and interrelated challenges of climate change, poverty, water, income gaps, and epidemic disease are forcing not-for-profits, foundations and corporations to find new, more effective and sustainable solutions. Needs are expanding faster than funds. Gaps in skills and capacity are widening. The traditional grant making approach is being challenged. Non-profit organizations and corporations are now looking for innovative models based on long-term strategic partnerships. At the same time, shareholders and brand managers are looking for more concrete returns. And society in general is looking for results and real change.
